MODERATOR
Ed Russo (EcoWeek Chairman), Project Director for Trump International
Ed has been associated with environmental crusades and organizations for over thirty years. Since moving to the Keys in 2001, Ed has been looking to continue serious environmental work. “All too often environmental organizations expend significant energies promoting initiatives that allow members to feel good instead of focusing on the challenges that result in crucial environmental improvements. Florida Keys EcoWeek has demonstrated a clear understanding of the urgencies and threats that require sober and serious responses. It is an organization that has led the fight to protect and preserve the essential natural resources of the Florida Keys and beyond.” Ed’s life has been and will continue to be dedicated to raising funds and advancing environmental responsibility.
Ed’s past philanthropic experiences are: 1) The Upper Raritan Watershed Association is a private non-profit conservation foundation responsible for the air and water quality for twenty two towns in central New Jersey. 2) The Bedminster Charities Golf Classic provides funds for the seven charities in Bedminster Township. It has raised over $500,000 during the past six years. 3) West Morris H.A.L.T. was organized to close a polluting landfill in New Jersey.
